Since 2003, Jill has been hands-on in the management of all R&D tax credit studies and has extensive knowledge of issues related to R&D tax credits and other programs. She has written articles and given presentations on R&D tax credits. She was formerly corporate counsel to a Fortune 500 manufacturing company. Jill has an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Michigan and a law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law.

Andy has over thirty years of experience structuring technology based transactions for clients ranging from large energy concerns to small start-up companies. He has extensive experience working with technically oriented attorneys and engineers who are identifying and documenting R&D expenditures, and has supervised all of Monetek’s R&D tax credit studies. He has published numerous articles on R&D tax credits and has been invited to speak on the subject to groups of accountants, tax attorneys and manufacturers associations. He has an undergraduate degree from Wayne State University and a law degree from Washington University.

Bruce McLaughlin

Bruce has spent over twenty years identifying and documenting qualified research expenditures, totaling over $250 million, in large manufacturing plants. These activities involved diverse technological fields such as chemistry, material science, physics, software development, mechanics, and other engineering concentrations. Bruce also has extensive manufacturing and technical expertise from first-hand experience as a plant superintendent for a Fortune 300 company’s manufacturing facility. Bruce has authored several publications on the research tax credit. He has an undergraduate degree in physics from California State University, and a law degree from McGeorge School of Law.

Greg is a Civil Engineer. He worked for Consumers Energy Company for over thirty years. His experience includes project and systems engineering, operations, performance improvement, project management, licensing, engineering support, risk analysis and plant systems management. Greg has provided technical engineering assistance on over fifty R&D studies. Greg received a B.S. in Civil Engineering at Michigan Technological University and also completed the Engineering Scientist as a Manager program at Penn State University.

Alan is a seasoned engineer and business owner. He has a background in industrial processes, manufacturing, refinery operations, software development and process technology. He is an adjunct instructor of mathematics, engineering technology, and materials engineering. Alan has provided technical engineering assistance focused on software development as qualifying R&D. He has bachelor of science degrees in metallurgical engineering, chemical engineering and mathematics from the University of Michigan and a masters in mathematics from Wayne State University.

Avery Goldstein

Avery is a patent attorney who has helped many corporations establish technology evaluation committees. Avery received his doctoral degree in chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley in 1993. His doctoral thesis focused on quantum confinement in finely divided materials and encompassed work done at the U.S. Department of Energy, Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory. He received a B.S. degree in chemistry and a B.S. degree in biological science from Wayne State University in 1988. After completing graduate school, he worked in Central Research at the Dow Chemical Company where his research concerned advanced materials for use in composites and ceramics, as well as development of phase-change materials. He holds numerous patents, was the editor of The Handbook of Nanophase Materials and currently is editor of Patent Law for Scientists and Engineers. Avery received his law degree from Wayne State University in 1998.

Harvey Altman

Harvey is an expert on the impact of chemicals on the human body. He has extensive experience in the study design, execution and interpretation of pharmaceutical trials and is fluent in the requirements of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) as provided by the International Conference on Harmonisation (ICH), and the FDA. He is the author of fifty publications in refereed journals and was the editor of two books on Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. He received a B.S. in biology from the New York Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in biology and neuroscience from New York University.
